Jeep Wrangler
This Jeep Wrangler was just begging for a spa day. According to the owner, it had never been washed and while she named the vehicle “Cherry” and certainly loved it, she felt like Jeeps were meant to be worked hard and show it.
Having a fondness for Jeeps (I owned a Jeep CJ-7 when I was 19), I wanted to restore Cherry to all her glory by giving her a full couple of days in the spa. It definitely required some careful work removing bugs on the front grille and windshield, along with fully restoring the extensive black plastic trim.
The vehicle, including the engine bay, was carefully washed using high pH products to help remove the baked on contamination following by the use of a clay towel and iron remover to round out the decon process. The bright red color shined up easily with polishing. Surface level scratches and swirls were removed from the hood with a two-step compound/polishing.
Cherry’s bright red color was sealed in with Gtechniq’s Crystal Serum Light (CSL) and ExoV5 dual layer ceramic coating. The trim was restored using DIY Detail Plastic Trim and Restore.
The owner was shocked and super happy with the results. After a few days, she texted and reported that “she fell back in love” with her Jeep.
